WALKING CALGARY

It started on Jan 1, 2018. A plan to walk/run every street in Calgary over five years. A slipped disc in my back was preventing me from running which I had done all my life. I found it harder to keep motivated for walking and walking every corner of Calgary seemed liked the perfect motivation. Then barely two years into the initiative I had two heart attacks, and the walking became critical to ensure blood kept flowing through my arteries and keeping them open. My schedule has been delayed by six months because of the heart issues but I have logged over 12000 km and am hoping to finish between June and September of 2023. Below and on my blog page I document some of the things I have seen and some of the adventures I have had during this adventure. I will be finishing with a final walk down 17th avenue and invite everyone to join me. Details will be announced when I am ensured I can finally complete this mission. If my story provides any inspiration please consider donating to the Foothills Cardiac Ward by clicking on Heart at top of page.

THE MAP BOOK
Like Dora the Explorer, one of my best friends is my map book! She gives me the best guidance and tells me where to go!
